Michal Anne Pepper, Ph.D., MDIV - Pastor

Michal Anne was a psychologist in Dallas Texas for 13 years. She completed a Master of Divinity and was ordained as a minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in 2002. She is currently pastor of University Christian Church of Berkeley and author of Reconciling Journey: A Devotional Workbook for Lesbian and Gay Christians.

Melissa Gardner-McBride - Minister-in-Training

Melissa is a second year student in the Master of Divinity program at Pacific School of Religion. Her and her partner, Libby, live in Berkeley.

Katy Valentine - Office Manager

Katy Valentine is a doctoral student in Biblical Studies at the Graduate Theological Union (www.gtu.edu). She focuses on the New Testament with an interest in slavery in the Gospels, feminist studies and intertextuality. Katy has been a member at UCCB since September, 2003 and Office Manager since August, 2004.

Julia McKay - Interim Minister of Music

Lamar Turner - Pianist

Lamar is the faithful pianist every week. Lamar brings his musical skills and wide range of musical styles.

Ginger Casey - Nursery Attendant

Ginger is the nursery attendant at University Christian Church. Parents and children both love her and she warmly welcomes children into our congregation. Ginger is certified in child and infant CPR and first aid.

Centering Prayer
Centering Prayer is continuing! Though UCCB as a congregation is no longer worshipping, we are keeping the building open for those wishing to participate in centering pryaer. All are welcome to centering prayer at 8:00 a.m.onThursdays.

Sanctuary
Sanctuary is open during the season of Lent! Though UCCB as a congregation is no longer worshipping, we are keeping the building open for those wishing to participate in prayer and meditation. Come and pray, meditate or be in silence every Mon, Wed, Fri from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
